Sigh... It's been almost two months living in melbourne...
and yet i still can't really fit in sometimes..
for example, fast food rest here doesn't have a place to wash hand..
it's like the locals used to just eat their meals without cleaning their dirty hands first..
and like Mcd... if we wanna get tissue or tomato sauces we had to ask in advance when we placed our order... otherwise they'll be angry at u... =.='' so unlike malaysia, can get as many as we like.. ~~~~
Mostly everything here are self services... like supermarkets, they'll have a section with all the self check in machines... we scan, put, pay by ourselves... fun? annoying sometimes.. machine always gives problems... but of cuz there are also counters with cashiers but not many...
plus, there are lotsa things i wanna buy for daily use are only available in KL.. why is it?!!!! realizing there are actually quite alot of things i left behind.. T______T if only someone is coming to melb... sob sob...

ok.. if u're a friend of mine, you'll know im a lousy cook.. a girl/woman who doesn't touch any of cooking equipment at all!! But now that im in aussie, i had to choice but to learn to cook, as buying take away is extremely exp- not worth it...
So today.... i tried to make steak.. yea you heard me right.. haha... and know what? i failed!! ><
altho the steak was still edible, but it still has blood in it... med cook, some may like.. but not me..
After everything was done, my housemate gave me some tip...
1) to use butter instead of oil- which i did.. T_T
2) to leave the meat on the pan for 4 min each side- in which i kept flipping it.. sigh..
3) to marinate the meat and leave it for 20 min or overnight- i straight away fry it which was a wrong choice..

With a blink of eyes, i have been here for one month... being in aussies, time seem to pass by very fast compare back in kl... it's like i din do anything for the whole day but once i look out, it's already night time.. it's not hard to pass time especially when u have classes on the day itself... but occasionally i do feel lonely... whenever im home from uni, the house is always empty... all my housemates usually back during dinner time.. sometimes i dont feel like coming home so early but i got nowhere else to go...
Throughout this whole month, every weekend i would head to city for house inspection.... up until now, i stil couldn't rent a house/unit... it's so difficult... sigh.... living under my friend's roof is inconvenient to both me and her... altho she rarely comes home but i wonder could it be because i'm here... ?

My first time trying to cook chicken drumlet with coke.. saw from the youtube vid it was easy.... but when i had to cook it... sad case... it was difficult to cook the chicken on a frying pan... hard to know when it's cooked(first timer ma).. and after everything was done, i jus realize that i mistook soya sauce for soy sauce.. no wonder the colour was so diff with the vid.. T_T sigh.... plus i failed badly.. there isn't any coke flavour/taste in the chicken..
gonna go for third try with marinated bbq sauce.. definitely wont be cooking anymore, just gonna chuck it into the oven.. easy and well cook.. XD just like my first try with teriyaki sauce...

let's see... it's been almost 3 weeks since i touch down in melbourne city... and yes i was weak for the past weeks... but it's getting slightly better now.. for once at least i dont cry much.. tat's one improvement,rite? lol...
as for my uni, i'm still struggling with the surrounding... classes are all conducted in studio(small ratio) but some classes not many asian students... which is hard for me to makes friends as some dont seem wan to be friends with asians... sigh... no doubt throughout the orientation i met few friends from korea, china and taiwan... but they are all either in different course or different subjects... studying in uni is completely different with college back in kl... Here we're allow to choose our own elective subjects and time tables.... which is y most classes have combinations of yr 1 and yr 2 students... some are in double degree course....
Assignments are given every week and to be submit the following week... it's all up to us to do the work... how we do wat we want to do.. unlike college where lec would spoon feed you... but of cuz we still need to report to our uni lec on our progress... hehe....
despite my emotion getting better, i still miss malaysia... staying here for so long, i realize my meals so far ( including self cook and eat out) are all asian foods... havent really visit any local rest yet.... oh except mcd~! haha...
